About FixTheYacht
FixTheYacht started in Northeast Ohio as a plan to help owners of larger boats on Lake Erie get their boats fixed. This version does the part that needs nobody in between: it keeps your boat's maintenance history and tells you, from public safety sources and your own manuals, what you can check yourself and when to call a professional.
- Built and run by WeldonPC, Garfield Heights, Ohio.
- No affiliate links and no referral fees from technicians or yards. The public reading pages carry one banner from AdEngine, WeldonPC's own small ad network, which for now shows WeldonPC's own services; your logbook and account pages never do (see Privacy).
- The site sends no email. Your account is protected by your password and a recovery code that only you hold.
- Safety content cites public sources (the U.S. Coast Guard, the Code of Federal Regulations, Michigan DNR) or your manufacturer, and each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. Some guides cite only your manufacturer's manuals; the Sources page lists them.
